was developed by Robert Shor D.P.M., C.Ped. over ten years of
research and clinical trials. The system ensures the proper selection
of shoe style and size for each patient with the highest fit rate in the
nation. The podiatric office provides a standardized set of foot
measurements and impressions. A professional shoe fitter using
proprietary databases and years of experience analyzes
the order to determine a proper fit. The fitter will determine the correct
length and width for each shoe order, which relieves your in-office staff
of this responsibility. Other vendors, require your staff to determine the
proper shoe style and size for your high-risk patients with little more
than a Ritz stick measurement for analysis. Our precise fitting system
results in a lower return rate than the competition, which results in
less staff time spent fitting and greater patient satisfaction.

The In-office Fitting Session
Utilizing a brannock device and a tape measure supplied in your
starter kit, four measurements are taken of the foot. These include
the length, width, arch length and forefoot circumference.
The circumference is a volume measurement that is only found
in the SureFit System, which is essential to determining proper
shoe size, especially in those patients with swelling.





A Harris Mat (also supplied in your starter kit) is then used to capture
an imprint of the plantar surface of the foot. This image supplies our
fitter with the patient’s foot shape, which is matched to a shoe foot
bed to provide the best possible fit. When ordering accommodations
this image also provides for the exact placement of the accommodation,
using another patent pending SureFit technology.

Shoe selection is then made easy with the SureFit System.
The SureFit catalogue contains a larger selection of shoes than
any other turnkey program in the country. This selection provides
a wide spectrum of lasts (shoe shapes) to properly fit a wide range of
patient foot types. Other vendors only supply a limited selection of
lasts that are best suited for patients who have significant deformity
or wide feet. SureFit offers a selection of shoes that can fit patients
with narrow or wide feet and patients with or without significant
deformity. To make selection easy, a fitting chart is included that
guides your staff to the proper range of shoe styles according to
each patient’s level of foot deformity.

In a fitting session that takes less than 10 minutes, you or your staff
can provide your patient with a comprehensive evaluation and
analysis of their footwear requirements. The system is easy to learn.
We supply you with educational materials, as well as a
teleconference training session for your entire staff.

A Fitter on Staff
Every order received at SureFit is reviewed by one of a team of
professional fitters personally trained by Dr. Shor. Using the standard
set of measurements and impressions provided by your staff, the fitter
can analyze the case with great accuracy. Utilizing a proprietary
database of information and fitting procedures developed by Dr. Shor,
the fitter can determine the proper length and width depending on the
shoe style selected and the patient’s condition. Dr. Shor is available on
a daily basis to consult with his team on individual cases. When necessary,
a fitter or Dr. Shor will contact the practitioner to discuss recommendations
based upon the case analysis. As a SureFit client, you now have a

What if There is a Fitting Problem?

The SureFit system has it handled.
Every client is supplied with a Fitting Solutions Kit.
In the event there is a fitting problem, please call customer service
while the patient is still in the office. You will be connected to the
fitter who originally analyzed the case. He will review the problem
with you, review the data on file, and assist you with the contents of
the Fitting Solutions Kit. In many cases, this will solve the problem
on the spot. If the problem cannot be solved using the kit, the fitter
will instruct you on how to perform a diagnostic technique to
accurately determine what is required to obtain a proper fit.
With other vendors, customer service can only give you a return
authorization number and your staff must decide what to do when
a shoe does not fit correctly. At SureFit, we guarantee the fit.

modify the inserts to achieve an excellent therapeutic fit.
